A Crash Course in Current Affairs didn’t make it into the Recommended reads because one of the authors and the illustrator are friends of Dialogue Berlin, it made it in as I agree with The Sunday Times who names it Stocking Filler of the year that it is ‘A sharp and sober collection of succinct, background briefings on the current-affairs subjects we all pretend to know about … the perfect topical catch-up.’ I also agree with The Independent:
‘Elucidates all those big questions that you see in the newspapers every day but still aren’t quite up to speed on.’
The Indy also charted it as one of their Top 50 Winter Reads.
This book really helps to clarify political concepts which are imperative to making up your own mind about the issues and challenges we face in our modern society and would make a great Christmas present for all ages interested in understanding What on Earth is Going On?
